For many years my wife and I had enjoyed holidays and short breaks in Italy. We occasionally toyed with the idea of owning an overseas property; however it seemed fraught with difficulties and with many unknowns. We occasionally toyed with the idea of owning an overseas property; however it seemed fraught with difficulties and with many unknowns. Up to this point, we had previously only visited the Casa Travella website. On this occasion however, I made our first telephone call to their offices and found that they were amazingly easy to talk to. They arranged viewing and immediately we fell in love with a property on Lake Como. Our house has stunning views overlooking the lake.
Throughout the process of buying our house, Linda and her team could not have been more helpful. Her knowledge of processes together with her patience and excellent connections meant that everything went smoothly. It was neither a hassle nor a worry, but just a step by step learning process.
As a person that speaks little or no Italian, the process of buying through Casa Travella could not have been easier. We personally thank Linda and her team for all their help and have no hesitate in recommending their services.
We knew that we wanted a home for our retirement to be in Italy”, says Penny Robson, “we also knew it had to be something that was fairly modern and ready to move into. However, we finished up buying a major renovation work on a 700 year old farmhouse and we are absolutely thrilled!”
We purchased the property with the help of Casa Travella, and despite all the horror stories you hear, all was trouble free with expert help from start to finish and beyond. We are very pleased with the end result and the excellent standard of the restoration work that was carried out.
We would not have been able to achieve this without the professional help and knowledge of Casa Travella and would not hesitate in recommending Linda and her team to anyone looking to purchase a property in Italy.
Thank you, Penny & Keith
I would like to convey my sincere thanks for your excellent service in the purchase of my apartment in Pisticci, Basilicata. Your service has been second to none as I was a little apprehensive buying property in Italy and your reassurances convinced me that I made an excellent decision. I would also like to thank you for making the arrangements for the flights and accommodation when viewing the property .Antonio, your Italian agent, has also arranged on numerous occasions to have the apartment cleaned prior to going out there and has also provided a rental income during the holiday season when we are not using it. My Aunt who lives in Naples actually rents the apartment for 8 weeks every year as she loves it so much there and the fees she pays more than covers the condominium fees and taxes. Finally I am really pleased that the value of the property has risen by nearly 50% in five years and I can't thank you enough for all the assistance you and Antonio have given me over the years.
Very best wishes and kind regards
Mr Tony Manzi
We wanted a 2nd home that would give us skiing in the winter months and also plenty of summer activities, somewhere in Italy.
We contacted Linda Travella of Casa Travella, from her website and we were impressed with her knowledge of the areas that were attracting attention. We fell for the first property we viewed, completely different to the type we had in mind. We made a decision there and then, with the help of a few glasses of Prosecco! Linda negotiated us a very good price on the property and we were delighted
Without Casa Travella we would never have found our dream home, and more importantly, be looking forward to our retirement amongst the most stunning views in Europe with plenty to keep us busy all year round!

About 11 years ago we decided that we would like to investigate the possibility of purchasing a holiday house in Italy. We contacted Linda Travella at Casa Travella as she specialised in that area. She quickly organised visits for us and properties to view with various local contacts of hers, including suggestions of hotels and places to stay during our visit. It was a proper 'hand holding' service.
We subsequently bought a property which needed extensive renovation and we were introduced to a local ‘geometra’ ( surveyor) who organised all the relevant tradesmen to complete the first stage of the work , on time, and we spent our first holiday in the house some 7 months after the purchase.
We are in the first stages of selling that house and have agreed to buy another once again via Linda. Her negotiating skills were invaluable to us as she managed to secure the property at a very competitive price.
Linda has good networking skills, she seems to know or is known by a lot of other agents who either know her directly or know of her reputation in the industry
We would have no hestitation in recommending Casa Travella to anyone looking to purchase or sell a property in Italy.
